Mainly a literary vocation

To preserve and disseminate CJC’s literary work; to become a meeting place for young writers; to promote all kinds of initiatives aimed at improving the social reputation of writers; to spark discussions about the role of literature; to serve as way to make known the creative work of authors that write in our local languages.

José García Nieto Potwar Poetry Room

To facilitate access to the legacy of José García Nieto's potwar poetry room and disseminate the work of the author through all kind of cultural initiatives.

Plastic arts line

To organize exhibitions, workshops and activities involving the plastic arts from the large painting gallery of the Foundation.

Documentation centre in Spain, January 1942-January 2002

To facilitate access to CJC’s letters, documentary collection and press archives in order to discover new key factors of the Spanish cultural process in the 1960s when CJC worked as a writer.

Promotion of Iria Flavia

Iria Flavia is the author’s birthplace. In 1996, he was granted the title of Marquis of Iria Flavia by His Majesty the King. In 2002, he was buried in the cemetery of Santa María de Adina as per his wishes. Therefore, the Foundation must promote all activities related to this village, its historical heritage and its residents.
